From the moment she spoke to the audience at the awards banquet, we could tell that she was destined for great
things.  That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to hear that Heidi Savabi, 2010 Academic recipient, graduated
from the University of Miami with honors!  Our selection committee was quite impressed when they read her essay
on her scholarship application, but even more impressive is the focus, drive, and determination Heidi has shown
these past 4 years in turning those dreams into a reality.  Stacy Smith Foundation proudly congratulates Heidi on
graduating and wishes her continued success in her bright and promising future!!!

That’s right!  Our very own Candace Perkins, 2012 Hardship recipient, showing up on billboards and signs all
over campus.  I guess you can say she’s become the face of the University.

Looking good Candace!
GUESS WHO?
SSF proudly congratulates 2012 Hardship Award recipient Candace Perkins on her recent
graduation from Southern Ilinois University-Edwardsville!  Candace has been the model of
perserverance and dedication and we wish her continued success as she begins her teaching
career at Pershing Elementary.

                                                             Way to go Candace!
